I began my career in Inverness after graduating from Aberdeen University with an MA in Accountancy. I then completed my training as a Chartered Accountant in 1994 while with Grant Considine in Aberdeen, before becoming a partner in the firm.

I am a registered auditor and with over 25 years of experience, I have enjoyed working with a diverse range of clients including owner managed businesses of different sizes and industry sectors and also charities. I help clients throughout the lifetime of their businesses from set up to their exit, whether that be through the sale of the business or retirement and succession to the next generation. I provide clients with general advisory services also which businesses without any in-house financial expertise often need. This can be advice on company sales, acquisitions, finance raising, business planning and bank negotiations.

We have a great team at Grant Considine where we all work together to provide many different services to our clients. Over the years, we have always recognised the value that our trainees add to our firm and many of our qualified staff began their training with us. 

In my spare time, I enjoy walking in our beautiful countryside, having fun with my children and meals out with friends.
